The Wheeler Eagles basketball team scored 64 points and limited the visiting Jumpertown Cardinals to 17 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Eagles now have a 14-7 record. They play next when they host Baldwyn for a 1A Region 1 game on Tuesday, January 14. Wheeler will confront a Bearcats team coming off a 53-41 league win over Tupelo Christian Prep (Belden, MS). The Bearcats record now stands at 11-2.
With the loss, Jumpertown falls to 6-13 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Blue Mountain (Blue Mountain, MS) to confront the Cougars in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 14. The Cougars go into the game with a record of 2-10.
