In Tuesday's league contest, the host Leo Lions basketball team scored a good 69-53 triumph over the St. Rita Mustangs.
The Lions (8-6) will now prepare for their contest against St. Francis (Wheaton, IL). The Spartans go into the non-league contest with a 6-8 record. In their last contest, St. Francis was topped by St. Patrick (Chicago, IL), 71-57, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Reavis Rams (Burbank, IL) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 10. St. Rita will attempt to better on its 3-13 season record. The Rams go into the contest with a 3-9 record after their 75-36 league loss to Lemont (Lemont, IL).
