The Orono Spartans basketball team scored 85 points and limited the visiting Mound-Westonka White Hawks to 60 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Spartans now have a 6-3 record. They play next when they host Jefferson for a AAAA Section 3 game on Tuesday, January 14.

With the loss, Mound-Westonka falls to 8-2 on the campaign. The White hawks travel to Minneapolis Southwest (Minneapolis, MN) to confront the Lakers in a non-league game on Friday, January 10. The Lakers go into the game with a record of 4-3. Minneapolis Southwest won 87-66 in their recent non-league game against St. Anthony Village (Minneapolis, MN)
