The North Branford Thunderbirds basketball team scored 54 points and held the host Old Saybrook Rams to 48 in the Thunderbirds league victory on Tuesday.

With the victory, North Branford upgrades its record to 4-2 on the year. The Thunderbirds host Portland (Portland, CT) to face the Highlanders in a Shoreline match on Friday, January 10. The Highlanders enter the match with a record of 2-3. Portland won 39-23 in their recent league match against Morgan (Clinton, CT)

The Rams now sport a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Lyme for a non-league match on Wednesday, January 8. Old Saybrook will face a Vikings squad coming off a 54-52 non-league win over Guilford (Guilford, CT). The Vikings record now stands at 2-3.
