The Swanville Bulldogs basketball team scored 66 points and limited the visiting Verndale Pirates to 56 in the Bulldogs league triumph on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs now have a 5-3 record. They play next when they travel to Long Prairie-Grey Eagle for a A Section 5 game on Thursday, January 9. Swanville will confront a Thunder team coming off a 75-50 non-league loss to Benson (Benson, MN). The Thunder record now stands at 1-7.

With the loss, Verndale falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Menahga (Menahga, MN) to confront the Braves in a non-league game on Friday, January 10. The Braves go into the game with a record of 1-9. Menahga lost 72-29 in their recent non-league game against New York Mills (New York Mills, MN)
