The Academy of Our Lady Penguins basketball squad (Marrero, LA), was crushed 55-34 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Newman Greenies (New Orleans, LA)
With the victory, Newman advances its record to 5-11 on the year. The Greenies host West Jefferson (Harvey, LA) to meet the Buccaneers in a non-league battle on Thursday, January 9. The Buccaneers enter the battle with a record of 6-10. West Jefferson lost 54-9 in their recent non-league battle against East St. John (Reserve, LA)
The Penguins now own a 4-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Academy of the Sacred Heart for a non-league battle on Thursday, January 9. Academy of Our Lady will meet a Cardinals squad coming off a 52-25 non-league win over Benjamin Franklin (New Orleans, LA). The Cardinals record now stands at 8-4.
