The Anderson County Mavericks (Clinton, TN) basketball crushed the host Carter Green Hornets (Strawberry Plains, TN), 68-45 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Mavericks now possess a 3-5 record. They play next when they travel to Sevier County for a non-league bout on Thursday, January 9.

With the loss, Carter falls to 3-12 on the campaign. The Green hornets host Gibbs (Corryton, TN) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 9.
