The English Valleys Bears (North English, IA) basketball toppled the visiting B-G-M Bears (Brooklyn, IA), 34-24 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Bears now possess a 7-2 record. They play next when they travel to Highland for a non-league bout on Thursday, January 9. English Valleys will play a Huskies team coming off a 67-24 league loss to Lone Tree (Lone Tree, IA). The Huskies record now stands at 7-4.
With the loss, B-G-M falls to 4-6 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Sigourney (Sigourney, IA) to play the Savages in a South Iowa Cedar bout on Friday, January 10. The Savages go into the bout with a record of 6-4. Sigourney lost 59-44 in their recent league bout against North Mahaska (New Sharon, IA)
