The Big Rapids Cardinals basketball team scored 45 points and limited the visiting Covenant Christian Chargers to 39 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cardinals now possess a 7-1 record. They play next when they host Newaygo for a Central State game on Friday, January 10. Big Rapids will play a Lions team coming off a 54-18 league win over Tri County Area (Howard City, MI). The Lions record now stands at 6-1.

With the loss, Covenant Christian falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Chargers host Kalamazoo Christian (Kalamazoo, MI) to play the Comets in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 14. The Comets go into the game with a record of 6-1.
