The Cougars (3-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Head-Royce (Oakland, CA). The Jayhawks come into the Bay Counties - East challenge with a 7-2 record. In their last challenge, Head-Royce trounced Athenian (Danville, CA), 58-32, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Marlins encounter the Redwood Christian Eagles (San Lorenzo, CA) in a Bay Counties - General challenge, on Thursday, January 9. Making Waves Academy will attempt to improve on its 6-1 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 6-9 record after their 38-15 non-league win over Elite (Vallejo, CA).
