Greendale Panthers (Greendale, WI) fans went home pleased Tuesday as they observed their basketball team edge the visiting Shorewood Greyhounds (Shorewood, WI), 61-55 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers (4-6) will now prepare for their challenge against New Berlin Eisenhower (New Berlin, WI). The Lions come into the Woodland - West challenge with a 7-5 record. In their last challenge, New Berlin Eisenhower was tipped by Pewaukee (Pewaukee, WI), 65-39, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Greyhounds encounter the Milwaukee Lutheran Red Knights (Milwaukee, WI) in a Woodland - East challenge, on Friday, January 10. Shorewood will attempt to improve on its 10-3 season record. The Red Knights come into the challenge with a 6-8 record after their 61-49 non-league loss to St. Catherine's (Racine, WI).
