The Wauzeka-Steuben Hornets basketball team scored 52 points and limited the visiting Highland Cardinals to 44 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Hornets now have a 8-1 record. They play next when they travel to Weston for a Ridge & Valley game on Tuesday, January 7.

With the loss, Highland falls to 5-6 on the campaign. The Cardinals host River Ridge (Patch Grove, WI) to confront the Timberwolves in a Six Rivers - West game on Thursday, January 9. The Timberwolves go into the game with a record of 8-3. River Ridge won 67-19 in their recent non-league game against Seneca (Seneca, WI)
