The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Mauston Golden Eagles (Mauston, WI) and the host Richland Center Hornets (Richland Center, WI), observed Mauston's basketball team overwhelm Richland Center by a margin of 69-38.

The Golden Eagles (9-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Adams-Friendship (Adams, WI). The Green Devils come into the South Central challenge with a 5-8 record. In their last challenge, Adams-Friendship was trounced by Pacelli (Stevens Point, WI), 69-29, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Hornets battle the Platteville Hillmen (Platteville, WI) in a Southwest Wisconsin challenge, on Thursday, January 9. Richland Center will attempt to better on its 0-12 season record. The Hillmen come into the challenge with a 10-1 record after their 65-26 league win over River Valley (Spring Green, WI).
