The Normal University Pioneers basketball team scored 35 points and limited the visiting Pontiac Indians to 24 in the Pioneers non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Pioneers now have a 5-13 record. They play next when they host Springfield for a Central State Eight game on Saturday, January 11. Normal University will confront a Senators team coming off a 64-61 non-league win over Mahomet-Seymour (Mahomet, IL). The Senators record now stands at 7-9.
With the loss, Pontiac falls to 7-10 on the campaign. The Indians travel to St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL) to confront the Spartans in a Illini Prairie game on Thursday, January 9. The Spartans go into the game with a record of 6-9. St. Joseph-Ogden lost 58-33 in their recent non-league game against Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley (Gibson City, IL)
