The Stanfield Tigers basketball team scored 53 points and limited the visiting Umatilla Vikings to 30 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Tigers now possess a 10-3 record. They play next when they travel to Grant Union for a 2A Blue Mountain game on Friday, January 10. Stanfield will confront a Prospectors team coming off a 31-29 non-league win over Riverside (Boardman, OR). The Prospectors record now stands at 7-6.

With the loss, Umatilla falls to 7-5 on the season. The Vikings travel to Burns (Burns, OR) to battle the Hilanders in a 3A Eastern Oregon contest on Friday, January 10. The Hilanders come into the contest with a record of 5-3. Burns won 57-18 in their recent non-league contest against Grant Union (John Day, OR)
