The Union Bobcats (Union, OR) basketball were winner over the host Weston-McEwen TigerScots (Athena, OR), 39-21 in Tuesday's non-league bout.
The Bobcats now possess a 13-1 record. They play next when they host Pine Eagle for a 1A Old Oregon bout on Saturday, January 11. Union will play a Spartans team coming off a 65-35 non-league loss to Tri-Valley (Cambridge, ID). The Spartans record now stands at 6-5.
With the loss, Weston-McEwen falls to 12-1 on the campaign. The Tigerscots host Irrigon (Irrigon, OR) to play the Knights in a 2A Blue Mountain bout on Friday, January 10. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 3-11. Irrigon lost 66-17 in their recent league bout against Heppner (Heppner, OR)
