In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Aquinas Monarchs basketball team scored a big 52-19 win over the Clarkson/Leigh Patriots.

The Monarchs (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Grand Island Central Catholic (Grand Island, NE). The Crusaders come into the non-league contest with a 4-2 record.

In their next game, the Patriots battle the North Bend Central Tigers (North Bend, NE) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, January 9. Clarkson/Leigh will attempt to better on its 2-9 season record.
