Newton South Lions (Newton, MA) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Everett Crimson Tide (Everett, MA), 61-56 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Newton South advances its record to 3-1 on the year. The Lions host Cambridge Rindge & Latin (Cambridge, MA) to face the Falcons in a non-league match on Friday, January 10. The Falcons enter the match with a record of 0-0.
