The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Mt. Carmel Sundevils (San Diego, CA) and the host San Dieguito Academy Mustangs (Encinitas, CA), observed Mt. Carmel's basketball team overcome San Dieguito Academy by a margin of 56-44.

The Sundevils (6-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Torrey Pines (San Diego, CA). The Falcons come into the non-league challenge with a 14-2 record. In their last challenge, Torrey Pines defeated Canyon Crest Academy (San Diego, CA), 77-45, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Mission Vista (Oceanside, CA) in a challenge, on Friday, January 17. San Dieguito Academy will attempt to better on its 2-10 season record.
