The Lakeview Lakers basketball team scored 72 points and restricted the visiting Benson to 50 in the Lakers non-league victory on Saturday.
The Lakers now sport a 11-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lac qui Parle Valley for a A Section 3 contest on Tuesday, January 11. Lakeview will battle a Eagles team coming off a 60-59 non-league win over Wheaton/Herman-Norcross (Wheaton, MN). The Eagles record now stands at 6-5.
The (2-8) will now prepare for their contest against Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg (Kerkhoven, MN). The Fighting Saints come into the A Section 6 contest with a 4-7 record. In their last contest, Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg was routed by Dawson-Boyd (Dawson, MN), 70-59, in a non-league contest.
