The Shannon Red Raiders basketball team (Shannon, MS), was nudged 52-46 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Saltillo Tigers (Saltillo, MS)
The Tigers now possess a 17-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New Hope for a 5A Region 1 battle on Friday, January 14. Saltillo will confront a Trojans team coming off a 58-47 non-league win over Choctaw Central (Philadelphia, MS). The Trojans record now stands at 11-3.
The Red Raiders (1-4) will now prepare for their battle against Itawamba Agricultural (Fulton, MS). The Indians come into the 4A Region 1 battle with a 3-11 record.
