Maryland High School Basketball - Parkville can't hold off Atholton

The Atholton Raiders basketball team scored 70 points and restricted the visiting Parkville Knights to 67 in the Raiders non-league victory on Monday.
The Raiders now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Marriotts Ridge for a Howard County contest on Wednesday, January 10.
The Knights (8-3) will now prepare for their contest against Hereford (Parkton, MD). The Bulls come into the Baltimore County 1 contest with a 2-8 record. In their last contest, Hereford was nudged by Milford Mill Academy (Baltimore, MD), 60-30, in a league contest.
Second Quarter
The Raiders had a poor shooting quarter making only 3 of 11 shots and no 3 pointers.
Third Quarter
The Raiders stared out hot in the quarter bud then faded and still trailed by 15 points after 3 quarters.
Fourth Quarter
The Raiders rallied from 15 points down at the start of the quarter to force overtime. Amir Shaheed had 12 points in the quarter to bring the Raiders all the wa back and tie the score at the end of regulation at 58.
