In Monday's league outing, the Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial Knights (Lake Crystal, MN) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Blue Earth Buccaneers (Blue Earth, MN), by a count of 90-59.

The Knights (9-3) will now prepare for their outing against Madelia (Madelia, MN). The Blackhawks go into the A Section 2 outing with a 8-5 record. In their last outing, Madelia smashed Martin County West (Sherburn, MN), 67-66, in a league outing.

The Buccaneers now hold a 7-2 record. They play next when they travel to Waseca for a AA Section 2 outing on Friday, January 12. Blue Earth will clash with a Bluejays squad coming off a 75-69 non-league win over New Ulm (New Ulm, MN). The Bluejays record now stands at 6-5.
