The Covenant Life Cougars (Gaithersburg, MD) basketball felled the visiting Frederick Christian Academy Defenders (Frederick, MD), 70-56 in Monday's non-league test.

The Cougars (6-4) will now prepare for their test against Greater Grace Christian Academy (Baltimore, MD). The Eagles go into the Maryland Independent League test with a 7-5 record. In their last test, Greater Grace Christian Academy was beaten by Mount Airy Christian Academy (Mount Airy, MD), 54-47, in a league test.

The Defenders now own a 5-1 record. They play next when they travel to Rosedale Christian Academy for a Metro Private test on Friday, January 12.
