Wright City Lumberjax (Wright City, OK) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Haworth Lions (Haworth, OK), 60-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Wright City upgrades its record to 14-1 on the season. The Lumberjax host Caddo (Caddo, OK) to play the Bruins in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 11. The Bruins go into the bout with a record of 6-6. Caddo won 68-38 in their recent league bout against Rock Creek (Bokchito, OK)

Next up, the Lions play the Eagletown Eagles (Eagletown, OK) in a McCurtain Six bout, on Friday, January 12. Haworth will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 9-7 record after their 55-43 non-league win over Wapanucka (Wapanucka, OK).
