In Monday's non-league outing, the Lewisburg Green Dragons (Lewisburg, PA) basketball squad beat the host Hughesville Spartans (Hughesville, PA), by a margin of 64-46.

The Green Dragons (4-5) will now prepare for their outing against Danville (Danville, PA). The Ironmen go into the Heartland II outing with a 5-3 record. In their last outing, Danville defeated Midd-West (Middleburg, PA), 54-37, in a league outing.

The Spartans now own a 6-5 record. They play next when they travel to Loyalsock Township for a Heartland III outing on Wednesday, January 10. Hughesville will clash with a Lancers squad coming off a 83-47 non-league win over Montoursville (Montoursville, PA). The Lancers record now stands at 9-1.
