The Newtown Nighthawks (Newtown, CT) basketball nipped the visiting Immaculate Mustangs (Danbury, CT), 63-57 in Monday's league test.
The Nighthawks (5-3) will now prepare for their test against Weston (Weston, CT). The Trojans go into the Southwest test with a 4-3 record. In their last test, Weston got by New Milford (New Milford, CT), 58-30, in a league test.
The Mustangs now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Stratford for a Southwest test on Friday, January 12. Immaculate will encounter a Red Devils squad coming off a 59-50 non-league loss to Harding (Bridgeport, CT). The Red Devils record now stands at 3-5.
