Monmouth Regional Falcons (Tinton Falls, NJ) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Long Branch Green Wave (Long Branch, NJ), 24-22 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Monmouth Regional upgrades its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Falcons host Shore Regional (West Long Branch, NJ) to play the Blue Devils in a Shore C bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a record of 6-2.

Next up, the Green Wave play the St. Rose Purple Roses (Belmar, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Long Branch will attempt to upgrade on its 0-9 season record. The Purple Roses come into the bout with a 9-1 record after their 52-48 non-league win over St. Benedict's Prep (Newark, NJ).
