Mt. Pleasant Panthers (Mt. Pleasant, IA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Wilton Beavers (Wilton, IA), 64-60 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mt. Pleasant upgrades its record to 7-5 on the season. The Panthers host Burlington (Burlington, IA) to play the Grayhounds in a non-league bout on Friday, January 12. The Grayhounds go into the bout with a record of 2-8.

Next up, the Beavers play the West Branch Bears (West Branch, IA) in a River Valley bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Wilton will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record.
