With the win, Sandoval upgrades its record to 6-10 on the season. The Blackhawks travel to Maryville Christian (Maryville, IL) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Monday, January 22. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 3-13.

Next up, the Tornadoes play the Christopher Bearcats (Christopher, IL) in a Black Diamond - West game, on Tuesday, January 9. Zeigler-Royalton will attempt to move on its 6-10 season record. The Bearcats enter the game with a 8-7 record after their 71-57 league win over Johnston City (Johnston City, IL).
