Colorado High School Basketball - Evergreen can't hold off Douglas County

January 8, 2024: Castle Rock, CO 80104

The Douglas County Huskies basketball team scored 36 points and restricted the visiting Evergreen Cougars to 35 in the Huskies non-league victory on Monday.

The Huskies now sport a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Vista Ridge for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 9. Douglas County will battle a Wolves team coming off a 47-46 non-league loss to Lewis-Palmer (Monument, CO). The Wolves record now stands at 8-3.

The Cougars (7-2) will now prepare for their contest against D'Evelyn (Denver, CO). The Jaguars come into the 5A/4A Jeffco contest with a 9-2 record. In their last contest, D'Evelyn edged Pomona (Arvada, CO), 59-16, in a league contest.
