The Marian Catholic Spartans basketball team scored 58 points and held the host Kankakee Kays to 46 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Monday.

The Spartans now sport a 17-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Nazareth Academy for a East Suburban Catholic contest on Thursday, January 11.

The Kays (12-8) will now prepare for their contest against Thornridge (Dolton, IL). The Falcons enter the Southland contest with a 4-14 record. In their last contest, Thornridge was defeated by Resurrection (Chicago, IL), 52-19, in a non-league contest.
