Matawan Regional Huskies (Aberdeen, NJ) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Lakewood Piners (Lakewood, NJ), 39-12 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Matawan Regional upgrades its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Huskies host Raritan (Hazlet, NJ) to play the Rockets in a Shore A - Central bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Rockets come into the bout with a record of 1-7. Raritan lost 50-45 in their recent non-league bout against Barnegat (Barnegat, NJ)

Next up, the Piners play the Ocean Township Spartans (Oakhurst, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Lakewood will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record.
