The Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds topped the visiting Roger Bacon Spartans basketball team by a final score of 55-42 in Monday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Thoroughbreds face the St. Henry Crusaders (Erlanger, KY) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, January 10. Newport Central Catholic will attempt to move on its 8-3 season record. The Crusaders enter the game with a 7-5 record after their 59-55 non-league loss to Bellevue (Bellevue, KY).
