The St. John Eagles basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting St. Charles Catholic Comets to 33 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Monday.
The Eagles now sport a 8-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to False River for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 10. St. John will battle a Gators team coming off a 61-12 non-league loss to Central Private (Baker, LA). The Gators record now stands at 0-14.
The Comets (2-17) will now prepare for their contest against Live Oak (Watson, LA). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 10-4 record. In their last contest, Live Oak triumphed over Istrouma (Baton Rouge, LA), 73-44, in a non-league contest.
