The Cypress Bay Lightning (Weston, FL) basketball knocked off the visiting Miramar Patriots (Miramar, FL), 67-58 in Monday's non-league test.
The Lightning (9-1) will now prepare for their test against Taravella (Coral Springs, FL). The Trojans go into the non-league test with a 1-4 record.
The Patriots now own a 7-1 record. They play next when they travel to Everglades for a test on Wednesday, January 10. Miramar will encounter a Gators squad coming off a 70-63 league loss to Pembroke Pines Charter (Pembroke Pines, FL). The Gators record now stands at 5-4.
