The Independence Tigers basketball team scored 76 points and limited the visiting Bogalusa Lumberjacks to 53 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Tigers now have a 12-9 record. They play next when they travel to Christ Episcopal School for a non-league game on Friday, January 10. Independence will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 68-24 non-league win over First Baptist Christian (Slidell, LA). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-10.

With the loss, Bogalusa falls to 2-15 on the campaign. The Lumberjacks travel to Frederick A. Douglass (New Orleans, LA) to confront the Bobcats in a non-league game on Thursday, January 9. The Bobcats go into the game with a record of 14-4.
