The Eagles (4-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Marquette Catholic (Michigan City, IN). The Blazers come into the non-league challenge with a 3-6 record. In their last challenge, Marquette Catholic was routed by Indianapolis Bishop Chatard (Indianapolis, IN), 59-52, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Oilers encounter the Illiana Christian Vikings (Dyer, IN) in a Greater South Shore challenge, on Friday, January 10. Whiting will attempt to improve on its 0-9 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 3-7 record after their 45-35 non-league loss to Hanover Central (Cedar Lake, IN).
