The South Stokes Sauras basketball team scored 78 points and limited the visiting West Stokes Wildcats to 29 in the Sauras non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Sauras now possess a 9-2 record. They play next when they travel to East Wilkes for a 1A Northwest game on Thursday, January 9. South Stokes will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 70-40 non-league win over Forbush (East Bend, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 7-5.

With the loss, West Stokes falls to 5-6 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Reidsville (Reidsville, NC) to confront the Rams in a 2A Mid-State game on Thursday, January 9. The Rams go into the game with a record of 11-0. Reidsville won 78-38 in their recent non-league game against Rockingham County (Wentworth, NC)
