The Bears (2-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Greenville Hurricanes (Greenville, SC). The Hurricanes come into the non-league challenge with a 10-3 record. In their last challenge, Greenville Hurricanes was tipped by Woodruff (Woodruff, SC), 43-39, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Mustangs encounter the Carolina Academy Trojans (Greenville, SC) in a AAA Region 2 challenge, on Friday, January 10. Palmetto will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 0-10 record after their 50-48 non-league loss to Berea (Greenville, SC).
