The Coalers (11-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Reed-Custer (Braidwood, IL). The Comets come into the Illinois Central 8 challenge with a 8-7 record. In their last challenge, Reed-Custer prevailed over Peotone (Peotone, IL), 28-26, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Indians encounter the Somonauk/Leland Bobcats (Somonauk, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 11. Sandwich will attempt to improve on its 9-8 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 4-13 record after their 41-39 non-league loss to Amboy (Amboy, IL).
