In Wednesday's non-league test, the Ellet Orangemen (Akron, OH) basketball squad got by the visiting Laurel Gators (Shaker Heights, OH), by a final score of 58-57.

Next, the Orangemen clash with the Garfield Community Learning Center Golden Rams (Akron, OH) in a test, on Thursday, January 9. Ellet will attempt to upgrade on its 10-2 season record. The Golden Rams come into the test with a 4-6 record after their 45-37 non-league loss to Normandy (Parma, OH).

The Gators (3-9) will now prepare for their test against Cathedral Prep (Erie, PA). The Ramblers come into the non-league test with a 5-3 record.
