The St. Charles Catholic Comets basketball squad (LaPlace, LA), was nudged 43-40 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the visiting St. John Eagles (Plaquemine, LA)
With the victory, St. John advances its record to 8-4 on the year. The Eagles host Berwick (Berwick, LA) to meet the Panthers in a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 14. The Panthers enter the battle with a record of 13-7.
The Comets now own a 11-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Martin's Episcopal for a non-league battle on Thursday, January 9. St. Charles Catholic will meet a Saints squad coming off a 68-28 non-league loss to Pine (Franklinton, LA). The Saints record now stands at 5-1.
