With the victory, Pinole Valley advances its record to 2-1 on the year. The Spartans travel to Alhambra (Martinez, CA) to meet the Bulldogs in a non-league battle on Thursday, January 9. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a record of 5-4. Alhambra won 31-6 in their recent non-league battle against Terra Linda (San Rafael, CA)

The Mustangs now own a 0-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carondelet for a battle on Friday, January 10. Monte Vista will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 54-22 non-league win over Campolindo (Moraga, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 12-1.
