In Wednesday's non-league contest, the visiting Vermont Academy Wildcats ice hockey team scored a close 4-3 victory over the Winchendon Wapiti.

The Wildcats (5-10) will now prepare for their contest against Tilton School (Tilton, NH). The Rams go into the contest with a 11-1 record. In their last contest, Tilton School edged New Hampton School (New Hampton, NH), 3-1, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Wapiti play the Wilbraham & Monson Academy Titans (Wilbraham, MA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 11. Winchendon will attempt to better on its 7-9 season record. The Titans go into the contest with a 0-6 record after their 8-2 non-league loss to Vermont Academy (Saxtons River, VT).
