The Platte/Geddes Black Panthers (Platte, SD) basketball nipped the visiting Corsica/Stickney Jaguars (Corsica, SD), 46-39 in Monday's non-league test.
The Black Panthers (5-0) will now prepare for their test against Mt. Vernon/Plankinton (Mt. Vernon, SD). The Titans go into the A Region 5 test with a 4-1 record. In their last test, Mt. Vernon/Plankinton got by Wessington Springs (Wessington Springs, SD), 84-68, in a non-league test.
The Jaguars now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they host Mitchell Christian for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 10. Corsica/Stickney will encounter a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 67-62 non-league loss to Crow Creek (Stephan, SD). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 0-3.
