Dwight-Englewood Bulldogs (Englewood, NJ) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Leonia Lions (Leonia, NJ), 62-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Dwight-Englewood upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology (Paterson, NJ) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 11. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 4-8. Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology lost 60-52 in their recent non-league bout against Cedar Grove (Cedar Grove, NJ)

Next up, the Lions play the Elmwood Park Crusaders (Elmwood Park, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 11. Leonia will attempt to upgrade on its 6-1 season record. The Crusaders go into the bout with a 4-1 record after their 49-39 league win over Manchester Regional (Haledon, NJ).
