The First Assembly Christian Crusaders basketball team scored 39 points and held the host Memphis University Owls to 38 in the Crusaders non-league triumph on Monday.

The Crusaders now sport a 9-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Evangelical Christian for a Division II-A West District 6 contest on Tuesday, January 10. First Assembly Christian will meet a Eagles team coming off a 55-51 league win over St. George's (Collierville, TN). The Eagles record now stands at 6-7.

The Owls (12-6) will now prepare for their contest against St. Benedict at Auburndale (Cordova, TN). The Eagles enter the Division II-AA West contest with a 7-3 record. In their last contest, St. Benedict at Auburndale was nudged by Calloway County (Murray, KY), 71-61, in a non-league contest.
