The Freeburg Midgets basketball team (Freeburg, IL), dropped 55-38 in Monday's non-league battle with the visiting Triad Knights (Troy, IL)

The Knights now possess a 13-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Waterloo for a Mississippi Valley battle on Friday, January 13. Triad will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 53-44 non-league win over Steeleville (Steeleville, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-11.

The Midgets (10-7) will now prepare for their battle against Red Bud (Red Bud, IL). The Musketeers come into the non-league battle with a 10-3 record. In their last battle, Red Bud prevailed over Sparta (Sparta, IL), 55-48, in a league battle.
