In Monday's non-league outing, the Southampton Academy Raiders (Courtland, VA) basketball squad nipped the visiting Greenbrier Christian Academy Gators (Chesapeake, VA), by a margin of 64-58.
The Raiders (6-6) will now prepare for their outing against Halifax Academy (Roanoke Rapids, NC). The Vikings go into the non-league outing with a 9-3 record. In their last outing, Halifax Academy got by Rocky Mount Academy (Rocky Mount, NC), 68-57, in a league outing.
The Gators now own a 2-7 record. They play next when they travel to Broadwater Academy for a Metropolitan outing on Tuesday, January 10.
